BLARGH!!

So there's a bunch of anime stuff i'm currently watching but i'd like to bring up a specific one:Minami Ke Okaeri.As you may(or may not know)it's the third season and so far i'm liking what i'm seeing.Season two(Okawari)was definitely the low point of the series,it just lacked the stuff that made season one enjoyable and added one of the most annoying characters ever,the kid who's name I forgot because he was so horrible.

Okawari never showed Touma's brothers at all and they focused too much on Mako chan stuff.Granted some of it was funny but it was overload imo.Thankfully Okaeri is a lot more like season one,no annoying S2 kid,the return of Touma's brothers and MORE HOSAKA!The art style seems better now too,not as many BIBLE BLACK WHY SO SRS faces(which I didn't really care for)and more akin to S1(ie.Chiaki looking more regualr than she did in S2).

Overall since Hyakko ended and i'm lacking in slice of life comedy shows Okaeri is a welcome sight and I only hope it statys good till the end.

edit:I totally forgot to mention the Curry Song,damn that Hosaka.

So i'm watching Clannad After Story episode 2 earlier today and having a good laugh at the expense of Sunohara's mishaps then it somehow it ended up with Nagisa's mom Sanae playing the role of Sunohara's fake girlfriend which results in this.

Well more like it ended a second time for me since I downloaded the raws while waiting for subs.Hmm how to sum up Origination.....it felt a little rushed at the end(what with all the promotions and all)and I wish it had more episodes like Natural did but all things considered it was a nice way to end the series.

For me it feels like Aria ended too soon since I was a late bloomer with the series but the ending is pretty decent.You don't find out what happened to the other characters(like Al and Aika's relationship)and the ending itself feels like it could still continue on but I can accept the ending that was given to us.

Sadly there are no real slice of life shows this season so i'll have to fill the abyss with stuff like Code Geass R2 and Special A just to name a few.Aria is hard to top but who knows I though Azumanga was awesome back then and I found good if not better shows than it later on.So hopefully i'll be suprised by something good.

So yeah happy(very late)new year everyone lol.I decided to make journal entry about a certain genre of anime,slice o' life.Slice o' life animes if you don't know detail characters in more real life situations,some animes that fall under this category are Azumanga Daioh,Lucky Star,Sketchbook Full Colors and the anime I want to talk about,Aria.

At first I didn't even want to watch Aria.Idk something made me avoid it and a anime about gondoliering doesn't sound very exciting.Eventually I buckled and watched it and I didn't regret it.Aria is anime that you can watch and just relax,it has no complex story/characters or plot devices which is why I love it so much.Sounds strange but if you watch it you'll understand.

I said it in irc and i'll say it again it's like a drug without the negative effects,if you don't smile or feel all fuzzy after watching it you're a emotionless bastard.The third season of Aria started not that long ago and so far it still has the magic that Natural had,definitely my favorite anime this season so far.

My point is I guess you don't need a huge budget(lol Madhouse/Bones),a complex story /characters,drama or any plot devices to make a anime that's rather simple yet very addicting and entertaining :)

My computer has been giving me greif as of late.Whenever I download something big at fast speeds my computer gets much slower.This has been a first time in a long time where I couldn't figure out what the problem was.Maybe one of you can help............

Last night I found out where Makanaide,that track from the Lucky Star Karaoke album came from.It was originally sung by Zard(whom lead singer passed away recently).Then me and xephyris got into a discussion about old jp songs and found some gems that I haven't heard in like forever.

Anyway I think we can all agree that Dragon Ball GT sucked big time BUT there were a few things that didn't suck,the OP and the ED.And I managed to find them on youtube so here we go.

Lucky Star:This show has that Azumanga Daioh vibe to it,I kinda like it from what i've seen in ep 1.Konata is pretty much the reason I watch it.And to all those anime bloggers and ppl at /a/ GO FUCK YOURSELF,bitches need to stop sucking Gainax(or insert company/anime here)dick and stop shitting on Kyoani.

Darker than Black:BONES hit a slump with Ayakashi Ayashi but it looks like they'll more than make up for it with this series.Tbh i'm not totally sure what to make out of it.The contractors are cool but i'm not so sure where the story is going.Granted i've only watched 2 eps and some series which had a slow start turned out to be awesome(E7).I'll definitely watch more but this show isn't the one i'm most looking foward to each week.

Guren Lagaan:I'll admit it,I am kind of a mecha fan.Blame Transformers and Macross for that(fuck you KK,Macross>Robotech).I haven't been a big fan of Gainax for awhile(blame /a/ and their constant fagottry praising of Eva)but this show is pretty damn awesome.Hell Yoko has a TON of fanart and it doesn't look like it'll end too soon.I like it because it's full of hot blood and stuff that defies logic(Guren and Lagaan combining in ep 3).

Murder Princess:The ol' switch bodies routine for this anime.Looks like it might have potential.

Nanoha Strikers:Yeah I know I made a post about it already but it's Nanoha so nyah.So far we have:grown up Fate,Nanoha,Hayate,LITTLE BOSS,epic ass pinching and Velkas(hears /a/ assplode over VITA).Unless it somehow ends up all fagged up like a GONZO anime this show will most likely be my fav of this season.Now gib OP/ED :P

Strongest Disciple Kenichi:Ok so it's not from this season but I don't care I like this series.Kenichi is a very likeable character(ok so he whines a lot but put yourself in his shoes)and the show has a LOT of funny moments.Pity the subs are slow but I can wait.

On a sidenote SSF2T HD=LOL.Well if there's any SF 2 game that deserves the HD treatment it's that one.Now SNK needs to make KOF hi-res :P

Wakamoto Norio does the narrating.

All kidding aside it's a pretty intresting show and Hayate is pretty likeable even though he's very unlucky.

I thought i'd update my journal since Nanoha Strikers aired recently.Ep 1 consisted of the new characters Subaru Nakajima and Teana Lanstar taking a test to raise their mage rank.Teana is a bit tsundere-ish I guess,Subaru is pretty much Sakura from Street Fighter(in terms of looks and personality).Also our 3 heroines from A's are all grown up now and quite hot(much to the dismay of 4chan),i'm still wondering what kind of situation would make all 3 of them go into action,otherwise it'll just be the new characters which is a bit lame imo.I want to see Nanoha blow something up with Divine Buster XD

The animation was quite smooth which kind of suprised me.Still it is a 26 ep series so we'll have to see how long it lasts.It was a good start for the series and Subaru and Teana do make a nice pair,now to wait for ep 2.

Not a fan of goth but goth Yuki?Double win.

I finished watching Eureka Seven and i'm kicking myself for not watching it when it came out and almost skipping it completely.A 50 eps series like FMA and even animated by the same studio(BONES),the animation is silky smooth in some parts,pretty suprising.The story is great too and like someone said on 4chan the characters are well fleshed out.You might hate someone in the earlier eps but later on you'll probably change your mind.

Seriously even though its a "giant robot" anime that shouldn't stop you from watching it,it made me teary eyed a lot of times and I can't say that about many animes.

Bottomline?Watch it.Love it.

So yeah i've been playing Basara 2 a lot.Yeah it's "repititive hack and slash" but you know what I don't care,this game is wacky and fun.Plus it has a ton of recognizable seiyuu like Wakamoto Norio as Nobunaga,Paku Romi(EDWARD ELRIC!) as Uesegi Kenshin,the guy who does Zoro from One Piece as Date Masamune with awesome engrish and even Yakumo's seiyuu lol.
